One of the elements of Jo Davies’ porcelain Chinese Tea Set, the Brew Pot is central to the tea-making process: the place the leaves unfurl and infuse the water with colour and flavour.

An elegant, handmade lidded ceramic bowl, the wheel-thrown body and lid are perfectly smooth porcelain, with an asymmetric loop handle on the lid. Choose from tactile, satin-matt stoneware crackle glaze in white, or a satin-matt manganese glaze in black, or both in combination.

As with all items in the entire range, this piece is hand-thrown on the wheel by Jo Davies and finished individually. Brew pot, sugar bowl, jewellery dish, or small serving bowl, it is a versatile container.

The Chinese Tea Set is a response to the wonderfully diverse tea sets Jo Davies encountered while taking tea on a 2018 trip to Jingdezhen - the home of Chinese porcelain. The Set reflects both the Western and Eastern traditions and rituals of tea drinking, bringing together divergent ideas of form and function in a set that unmistakably carries the unique Jo Davies aesthetic. Created to celebrate the eclectic and traditional tea sets used in daily life in China, you are invited to choose matching or complementary coloured elements in creating your own set.

Items are securely packaged for transit but, in the rare event of a breakage, the item will be replaced. In this event customers need to notify the studio with images of breakage within 24 hours of arrival to secure replacement item.
