Statement handmade coral porcelain vase, decorated with 24-carat gold leaf.
The double-teardrop shape of the gilded design complements the organic ridges around the body of the vase - exaggerated throwing-lines from its production on the wheel. These lines are a reflection of Jo Davies’ hands as well as her design intention which prioritises an organic approach that seeks to make her work appear soft.
The interior and rim of the piece have been glazed with tactile black, manganese glaze, while the coral ceramic vase body is coloured with fired-in ceramic pigment. A bold, decorative statement vase.

Care Instructions:
Hand wash only using soft cloths. Please do not use abrasive chemicals on this surface. Gilded items can be used carefully but the 24ct goldleaf surface is delicate. The gilded element of their surface has been stabilised and protected by shellac but care should be taken in its use.

Items are securely packaged for transit but, in the rare event of a breakage, the item will be replaced. In this event customers need to notify the studio with images of breakage within 24 hours of arrival to secure replacement item.
