Wheel-thrown tall coral vase, handmade with twisting lines around the curved porcelain body, coloured with fired-in ceramic pigment. The tactile ceramic vase is finished with a satin black glaze and decorated with 24ct gold leaf in a unique abstract teardrop design.
A statement vase in a limited edition of one.
The ridges are exaggerated throwing-lines created in the vase’s production on the wheel and are a reflection of Jo Davies’ hands as well as her design intention which prioritises an organic approach that seeks to make her work appear soft.

Internal surface and top finished with tactile, black manganese glaze.

Care Instructions:
Hand wash only using soft cloths. Please do not use abrasive chemicals on this surface. Gilded items can be used carefully but the 24ct goldleaf surface is delicate. The gilded element of their surface has been stabilised and protected by shellac but care should be taken in its use.
